Company Profile
Site Assessments
Coggin & Fairchild (C&F) has extensive experience in completing site assessments including source identification and plume delineation at a variety of sites with complex hydrogeological settings. These projects have varied in size from gasoline service stations with single release sources and small plumes to large distribution terminals with multiple release sources and extensive soil and groundwater plumes. Hydrogeological settings have varied from low permeability glacial till with interbedded sand and gravel lenses to high permeability shoreline formations with tidally influenced aquifers. Field screening procedures are frequently used to provide information which is utilized during the assessment process to fully delineate the horizontal and vertical extent of the contaminant plumes without repeated field sampling events. The following is a list of the technologies typically used to complete these assessments:
- Soil Borings
- Monitoring Wells
- Geoprobe
- Test Trenches
- Pump Tests
- Slug Tests
- SVE Tests
- Historical Research
